List of Organizations/Groups, where you could donate things you don’t need any more (instead of throwing them away)

• The Foundation for the Homeless of the Municipality of Athens is in need of clothes, bed sheets, quilts. If you have clothes (for children, women, men) or any of the above that you do not need and use any more, you could donate them to the Foundation for the Homeless at KYADA everyday from 8:00 to 15:00 at Piraeos 35.  Contact Info: 2105239465 / 2105246516, kyada@otenet.gr , http://www.kyada.gr

• Hatzikiriakeio Foundation for Children’s Protection is in need of books (for all the ages) to support their Library. For more info, please call at: 2104515387 or visit their website: http://www.xatzikiriakio.gr/

• The NGO PRAKSIS needs medicaments to cover the needs of their Polyclinics for immigrants and homeless. PRAKSIS also accepts used and opened boxes of medicines as long as their expired dates are for over a year. • The group ΡΕΤΟ (former drugs addicts): They accept any kind of machines and they occupy people for fixing and repairing these machines. They do have one or two shops with second-hand things and furniture. They are available to come to their place and take your donations (smaller or bigger objects, furniture, electrical machines, clothes, games etc.). For more info, please call: 210 66 25 096.

• Two websites for bazaars: www.freecycle.com and www.xariseto.gr . You could become a member and then you will be able to give and take without using money. You can find almost anything (honestly!)

• House of Abused Women: Ms. Darkofiki at 6973871004 / 2108103496.

• “Theophilos”: They send clothes/games to many big poor families around Greece (Telephone number: 2108819397).
