Jazz Tunes in Athens and Thessaloniki

50 years following the circulation of the legendary album “King of Blue” by Miles Davis, a tribute is organized in Athens and Thessaloniki to honor this unique jazz artist. The tribute is presented on October 23, 2009 at the Vellideion Foundation and on October 24, 2009 at the Athens Concert Hall.

This tribute will focus on the course of jazz music after this legendary music production, an inheritance by the renowned musicians who participated in that album – Miles Davis, trumpet, John Koltrain, saxophone, Winton Keli, piano, Paul Chambers, bass, and Jimmy Cobb, drums – and a tribute to all other music elements that made this album a world music masterpiece.
