On April 27, 2009 at 20:00 at the Hellenic American Union Auditorium, Vinvent Giordano will present an event that explores the relation between Greek Christians and Jews.

Romaniotes are among the oldest Jewish communities in the world today. In their long history they withstood the rise and fall of the Roman and Byzantine and Ottoman empires and thrived in their Greek homeland.They have their own unique customs and language, a dialect of Greek with some phrases from Hebrew and Turkish. However, little is known of their history and their rich tradition now stands on the verge of extinction. With the use of video and photographs, Vincent Giordano presents the rituals, customs and traditions of the Romaniotes community in Ioannina.
