CineDoc returns this May full of music with three unique documentaries showcased at the Institutes auditorium (Sina 31).

May 4th, 20.00 at IFA the documentary ”Music from the Inside Out” by Daniel Anker.
While Music From The Inside Out is about the many people within one musical ensemble, it is ultimately a personal musical journey. Each musician’s story reveals a struggle to maintain individuality, to test musical boundaries and to choose the path of an artist. Ultimately, the film attempts to break down the barriers that have long separated orchestra musicians and their audiences, and get to the essence of the music itself. In one remarkable scene (a filmmaker’s dream!) the orchestra has a bite to eat before a concert. They are already dressed for the performance, one of them walks into the restaurant and says: “Come outside, there is a guy out on the street and he plays The Four Seasons on an accordion.” The whole orchestra walks out and stands around the man, listening to an extraordinary and deeply moving performance.

May 18th,20.00 at IFA the documentary ”Metallica: Some Kind of Monster”
The members of Metallica, the most successful heavy-metal band in history, submit to two years of intensive group therapy to work through conflicts in their 20-year relationship. They finally give birth to one of their best albums, St Anger and embark on their first world tour in 4 years. Destined to become a rock & roll classic in the vein of Don’t Look Back and Gimme Shelter, METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER is an epic, intimate and spectacular coming-of-age journey, appealing not only to the Metallica fans worldwide, but to anyone interested in the creative process and the complexity of human relationships.
