Marianne Faithful makes a stop in Athens

After decades of singing, some great successes assured a spot for her in the pantheon of rock (As Tears Go By, Sister Morphine and others), her writing, theater and cinema, Marianne Faithful released her 23^rd solo album, recorded in New Orleans, entitled “Horses and High Heels”.

Marianne’s present appears to be more active than ever: she is touring the world in 2011, making a stop in Athens on June 7, she participates in Shakespeare’s theatrical sonata, and she recently finished shooting the film “Belle du Seigneur”, the English version of Albert Cohen’s legendary love story, in which she plays the maid Mariette, and co-stars with Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Natalia Vodianova.
