International Opera Competition
Athenaeum, in collaboration with the Cultural Organization of the City of Athens, organizes for the 35th year, the Maria Callas 2009 Grand Prix for Opera, Oratorio-Lied. The competition starts on Sunday, March 8 and ends on Sunday, March 15.
The 52 competing artists claim the following prizes: Grand Prix: Gold Medal, 9.000€, diploma and concert organization by Athenaeum, in Greece and abroad. The categories are: Opera-women, Opera-men, Oratorio-Lied, in memory of Alexandra Trianti.

All three female winners were Cheryl Studer students… I wonder how fare is it for the other partisipants the president of the jury(Cheryl Studer) to vote for her students… its a shame.
