The retrospective exhibition will present major pieces from 1996-2008, including sculptures of light in large scale designs.

Pioneer Keith Sonnier (born in 1941 in Louisiana U.S.A.,) is considered to be one of the first artists of the 60s’ who used light as an art form in sculpture. Internationally renowned for his innovative installations, his architectural aesthetic and for his sculptures which he creates with neon lights, Sonnier manages to compose a universe from industrial metals, rope, latex, wood, steel, fabrics and light, revealing thus an existential force from the materials and on to the spectator. Keith Sonnier’s artistic practice does not stop on pieces with light. The artist is moving at a wider spectrum using: video, performance, installations, designs, with his only motive being to explore a specific theme and to reveal it’s darkest nature.
