ACS Athens and its Parents & Teachers Organization (PTO) is excited to invite everyone to this year’s ACS Athens Country Fair on May 21, from noon to 4, that is promised to be the best that our school and the wider international community has ever seen!

As in past years, the most delicious part of the Spring Fair is the International Food Festival! The ACS Athens international community prepares and donates specialty dishes and treats for all to try! All nationalities will be represented in different booths around the campus.

A long time favorite, the Used Book Sale…. one man’s unwanted book is another man’s treasure! Used books, videos and DVDs, will be available to the whole community. Donations are accepted preferably on or before May 13th) by dropping them by the Security Office at the entrance to ACS Athens.

All of the Vendors will be our very own STUDENTS! Young Entrepreneurs In Action (Y.E.I.A.) – a successful initiative that celebrates its fifth year – showcases students of all ages as they expand their entrepreneurial skills. Come and encourage our youth to participate and be a patron of their business spirit!

The 5th Annual Photography Contest, Funny Moments, is open to all students, staff, faculty, alumni and parents! Enter your best photographic effort and you may win a prize! Attendees of the Spring Fair will cast the votes. Those photographs with the most votes will be featured in a new ACS wall calendar.

Also this year, Candy and Bake Sale, the Alumni Soccer Game, all kinds of games for ALL ages and a unique opportunity to experience the incredible US Marine Boot Camp, only happening at the ACS Athens Country Fair!!!

The Annual PTO International Spring Fair offers the opportunity to showcase our unique array of cultural food, music, costumes and customs. Get involved! Volunteer to represent your culture by either preparing & donating a food item or specialty, dressing up in your national costume, showcasing your countries arts, crafts and customs, or a combination of all the above!

Meet with your friends and countrymen/women and start planning your Food Festival Table! Ideally, you, the volunteers, will donate several different food items. Decorate your table with your nation’s colors, flags, and symbols, whatever you wish. Exhibits are welcome! You can dress in the national costume or colors! Lend us a CD of your homeland’s music to play! Please don’t pass up this great opportunity to showcase your country AND help with the PTO’s ongoing fundraising efforts!!!
