Hydra International Arts Festival

During the first week of September, between 1-7, the Hydra International Arts Festival is taking place for the first time, under the auspices of the Hydra Municipality. It is a festival that welcomes artists from Greece, the U.K., Italy, and hosts events that include concerts, exhibitions and gourmet cooking.

The festival’s quality performances hope to give a breath of entertainment to the island’s visitors, and prove that art can help us even during turmoil.

This first attempt has been embraced by the municipality of Hydra, the Holy Metropolis which also granted some space for the festival concerts. Also, many renowned Greek artists such as Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Lia Vissi, Stratos Tzortzoglou, Vaggelis Petsalis and others have agreed to participate in various performances, tailored to the island’s aesthetic.
