Haydn Trio Eisenstadt at Megaron, Athens Concert Hall

Music lovers will be able to enjoy the Haydn Trio Eisenstadt, an Austrian chamber music ensemble dedicated to the work of Joseph Haydn, on 30 January at the Megaron, Athens Concert Hall. Prepared since their founding to observe the 200-year anniversary of the great composer’s death (1809), these three talented musicians decided to tour the world playing his works and serving as ambassadors of his music with their unsurpassable sound.
The trio, which consists of Harald Kosik (piano), Verena Stourzh (violin) and Hannes Gradwohl (cello), was formed in 1992. The concert will be preceded by a lecture by Dr Walter Reicher on Joseph Haydn and a presentation of the works to be performed. The lecture will be conducted with simultaneous interpretation.
