Music, Theater, and Dance, on Greek Island of Syros

For the fifth time, MidAmerica Productions announces the International Festival of the Aegean, which will take place July 1-11, 2009, on the island of Syros, the capital of the Cyclades, in Hermoupolis, Greece.

Led by its founder, Greek-American conductor Peter Tiboris, the Festival of the Aegean will present a mix of opera, choral, and symphonic music, classical theater and dance performed by an array of stars from across the globe. All performances will take place at 9 p.m. at the Apollo Theatre (“La Piccola Scala”), modeled after Teatro alla Scala, in Milan, Italy.
