Elliott Carter, 100 Years of Music Composition

International Scientific Conference

In honor of 100 years since the birth of renowned composer Elliott Carter, the Music Department at the University of Macedonia is organizing an International Scientific Conference dedicated to the life and work of the composer. Elliott Carter is still considered to be a productive composer and one of the greatest theorists of the 20^th and 21^st century.

The goal of the conference is to further publicize Carter’s work. This one-day conference will take place at the (new) auditorium at the University of Macedonia, on March 7, 2009 at 12.00. During the conference studies by Greek and foreign  musicologists, theorists and composers will be announced.
