Brendan Perry, half of the creative nucleus of the famed Dead Can Dance, will be in Athens, Greece with his band on Monday 17 June for one appearance at Gagarin 205. The man with the deep voice and noble presence who was the perfect balance to the almost otherworldly performance and personality of Lisa Garrard is now coming to Athens, Greece for the first time as a solo artist. His appearance comes just a few days after the release of his second album titled Ark, scheduled for 7 June.

Starting out in Melbourne, Australia, in 1981, Dead Can Dance acquired fanatic admirers throughout the world while charting a 17-year career during which they recorded some truly astounding albums.

On almost all of them, Perry and Gerrard shared responsibility for writing music and lyrics and defined the unique, almost two-sided musical quality of Dead Can Dance to which both contributed their own special highlights.

The big night will open with two special guests: Blaine L. Reininger, co-founder of the legendary Tuxedomoon, will collaborate with composer and guitarist Telemachos Mousas on a set of special pop and alternative love songs.
