The Athens Video Art Festival, Greece’s biggest festival of digital arts and new media, will take place from 7 to 9 May 2010 at Technopolis of the City of Athens. The Athens Video Art Festival is Greece’s official festival on video art while catering to people from the full spectrum of creativity. Through its versatile action, the Athens Video Art Festival constitutes a means of promotion and a link between the artists and the audience inside and outside Greece.
Video art is one of the most developed forms of art, combining photography, movement, music and mainly the imagination and the willingness to experiment.

Optional Thematic: With “Feel Free to Feel Green” as a starting point, the Athens Video Art Festival will present art works that investigate the relationship between the modern human and the environment.
The aim of the Athens Video Art Festivall is to promote this modern and vivid form of expression, giving the artists additional motivation to create and the opportunity to express, while at the same time being an interesting and original event for the public.
More than 14,500 people attended the festival the previous three times it was held. The festival has won the support of more than 1,900 artists all over the world.21/03/10
