The International Contemporary Arts Fair of Athens returns for its 16th edition and will take place 13 to 16 May at the Faliro Taekwondo Pavilion in Athens, Greece. Taking part in Art-Athina will be 58 galleries from 11 countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, the USA, Italy, Cyprus, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Turkey) featuring works by more than 300 artists. In addition, 42 organizations associated with contemporary art will also be represented (museums, foundations, arts publications and media).
As part of Art-Athina 2010, there will be an exhibition titled “Books by Greek Artists: Contemporary Visual Creations”, curated by Maria A. Ageli, which will bring visitors in contact with books, each of which is a work of art in its own right.
Motto Distribution from Switzerland, which specializes in distributing arts publications from all over the world, will also make a presentation.
This year, Art-Athina goes to Attica. This large department store will be inspired by art and will lead the way once again by creating a display window focusing on the Art-Athina modern art show. From 26 April to 15 May, fashion and art meet in a unique window display that will provoke both demanding fashionistas and modern art lovers.
