THE EXHIBITION

Using «Alice’s adventures in Wonderland» (1864), Lewis Carroll’s classic novel, as a starting point, 20 Greek & International artists make a projection on contemporary urban reality and, drawing from the sphere of the subconscious, offer their personal interpretation of the allegory. The artists are travelling down the lanes of their imagination. What are they discovering in these uncharted areas?

“ACT I: An Adventure into the Unknown” is the first part of the “Alex in Wonderland” Art Trilogy, to be presented in three different European locations, between 2011 – 2012. In this preliminary contact the artists are introducing us to the protagonists of their fantasies, dreams and desires: friendly, enigmatic creatures, other-worldly conceptual entities, agreeable exotic beings, as well as shadier figures, residing at the core of their imagination and igniting their obsessions. The unlikely line-up invites us to experience a fascinating adventure, vibrating with color, energy and intensity, introducing us to the fascinating artistic idiom of Urban & Street Art.
