Aerosmith, the band that started writing its own chapter in the history of rock 40 years ago, is coming to Athens for the first time 20 June 2010 for a concert at Karaiskaki Statium. Aerosmith is the rock band with the biggest sales in US history while also holding the record for the band with the most gold and platinum albums in America.
In September 1969 in Boston, guitarist Joe Perry and bass player Tom Hamilton met drummer Joey Kramer, who then introduced them to fellow student Steven Tyler. Tyler met with no objections when he wanted to be front man for the band. With the addition of guitarist, Brad Whitford, it was not long before the Aerosmith concept became reality.
With countless awards, millions in record sales, a huge number of No. 1 hits and unforgettable concerts, Aerosmith have been one of the major rock bands on the planet for the last 40 years. On June 20, Aerosmith will be in Athens, Greece for a once-in-a-lifetime appearance.
