The 6th Festival of the Aegean in Syros premiers with the renowned “Carmen” by Georges Bizet on July 14, at the Apollo Theater and is followed by a spectacular program with artists from all over the world. Among them is the veteran American clarinetist Stanley Draker, famous choreographer Renato Tsannela, and our own Maria Farantouri. Along side the performances the Festival has established a summer school, with an educational character, called “Greek Opera Studio”.
