Teaching Improvisation – A Bridge over Classical and Jazz Studies

The conference organized by the department of Music of the Ionian University in Corfu, on October 21-24, 2010, is addressed to music educators, musicians, scholars, students and everyone interested in the art of musical improvisation in both jazz and classical music.

The conference organizing committee welcomes proposals for paper presentations, poster presentations, workshops – demonstrations, panel discussions and concerts. Interested individuals and parties are invited to submit their proposals by the 10th of July 2010. Abstracts for each type of presentation of no more than 200 words accompanied by a CV of no more than 150 words should be sent to the following address: jazzconf@ionio.gr
