The International Kalamata Dance Festival will run from July 15 to 22, 2010

The aim of the festival throughout these years has been to present the complex landscape of the national and international creativity. What is unique about this year’s planning is the presentation of the dance trends as well as the exploration of their sources, through the revival of renowned choreographies that have marked the dance evolution through the centuries.

Always keeping in mind, the authenticity of the creativity and the personal artistic writings, the 16th Kalamata Dance Festival is welcoming established and experienced choreographers and groups, as well as new artists from various countries. The agenda has ten productions, presented by various groups from different countries. France, UK, Italy, Belgium, Cyprus, Spain and Greece.

The 16th festival edition opens with a performance by one of the most important dance groups in Europe, the Ballet de Lorraine, known for its exceptional dancers and their creative director Didier Deschamps.
