Very Special Arts Hellas – Greek Society for Arts Programs for People with Special Needs is presenting the musical play entitled “In the name of the rose.”

On Friday, January 27, 2012 (time: 10:30am) and on Saturday, January 28, 2012 (time: 07:00pm) at the multi-space “Anna & Maria Kalouta” – ORGANIZATION OF CULTURE SPORT AND YOUTH OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS.

The actors and musicians of the show are young people with mental challenges, as well as many volunteers who prepare their work under the guidance of professional artists. The show is dedicated to Stella Braimaki, a member of their team.

The show is supported by the “Stavros Niarchos” Foundation, with the hospitality of OPAN of the Municipality of Athens.

A nonprofit organization for people with disabilities with sole aim, their right to artistic expression and participation in cultural events of the country, was established 20 years ago for the first in Greece. Very Special Arts – Greek Organization of Art Programs for Persons with Disabilities constituted the Greek member of VSA The International Organization on Arts and Disability with numerous members in every corner of the world.

After 20 years of continuous action it remains one of the most active members of the global organization implementing high quality art programs that seek to enrich the lives of people with disabilities and provide opportunities to create and participate in the cultural community.
